7.60 Index:

Saturday's qualifying:

The 7.60 index will be used to set the elimination ladder, there will be two qualifying runs on Saturday to set Sunday's elimination ladder.    (1 vs 5, 2 vs 6, 3 vs 7, and 4 vs 8)

Sunday eliminations:

"Chicago" style eliminations, all dragsters will run two elimination rounds, with the two dragsters closest to the 7.60 index either over or under during the two rounds of eliminations, racing in the finals for the win, the dragster closest to the 7.60 index either over or under in the finals will take the win.

 

Competition is based on using a four-tenths heads-up Pro Tree.

 

Dragsters only, all dragsters must be front-engine, solid front axle, wire front wheels, 60's style slingshot, No Transmissions. ( Direct-Drive )

 

NO electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic-assisted devices are allowed.

 

Blown alcohol or injected-nitro dragsters:  blown alcohol dragsters are limited to  roots-type 671 superchargers, rotors must be driven from the front, supercharger restraint system meeting SFI Spec 14.1 mandatory, manifold burst panel mandatory.

 

440 Cu. In. Limit, ( Iron Blocks ). ( Aluminum blocks are allowed for small-block Chevrolet and Donovan Chrysler Hemi)

 

A properly fitting, SFI Spec 7.1 or 7.2 lower engine oil retention device is mandatory.

 

Both iron and aluminum heads are allowed.

 

Only one magneto, one spark plug per cylinder, one fuel pump, blown alcohol dragsters are limited to hat nozzles only, injected dragsters are limited to injector nozzles only. ( like it use to be "60's style" )

 

Multi-Disc Clutch, No transmissions Allowed, direct- drive only, Clutch and flywheel meeting SFI Spec 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4, flywheel shield meeting SFI Spec 6.2 or 6.3 mandatory.

 

Reverser mandatory, reverser blanket meeting SFI Spec 4.1 mandatory.

 

Minimum 5lb. on board fire extinguisher system mandatory, at least two nozzles facing the front of the engine and one in cockpit.

 

12 inch wide slicks only, any manufacture.

 


NHRA chassis certification must be 2.6 ( Minimum ) 2.4B chassis certification preferred.

 

Roll cage padding meeting SFI spec 45.1 mandatory, head and neck restraint device/system meeting SFI Spec 38.1 mandatory.

 

All drivers must have a valid NHRA competition license for 7.60 ET ( minimum class 4A ) 3A preferred.
